Bruce Dvorak, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE
Bruce Dvorak is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a member of the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects and has been active in the American Water Works Association. His area of focus relates to water and wastewater treatment, and applying tools such as Life Cycle Assessment to help improve the sustainability of treatment systems and industrial operations.

Robert W. Nairn, PhD, BCES
Robert W. Nairn, PhD, BCES serves as David L. Boren Professor and Sam K. Viersen Family Presidential Professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma (OU), Director of the Center for Restoration of Ecosystems and Watersheds (CREW), Associate Director of the Water Technologies for Emerging Regions (WaTER) Center and Adjunct Professor of Biology. His research on natural infrastructure, ecological engineering, and watershed biogeochemistry addresses water quality challenges through an Engineering With Nature approach.

Serge Haddad, P.E., M.S., BCEE
Serge Haddad, P.E., M.S., BCEE is the Manager of the Regulatory Planning and Compliance Section in the Water Quality Division at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. He has 20 years of experience with the City of LA; including structural design, project management, construction management, City Council liaison, and water recycling. He currently oversees the work of managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure the water system provides customers with safe, high quality water. He is also experienced in regulatory, legislative, policy, and public engagement aspects of the City’s water resources programs. Mr. Haddad is a graduate from Loyola Marymount University and University of Southern California and a registered Civil Engineer in California. He is most grateful for his loving wife and two amazing sons.

Bruce Cooley, PE, BCEE
Bruce Cooley, PE, BCEE, is an Engineering Project Manager in Capital Programs and Engineering at Citizens Energy Group. Bruce support the planning, design, and construction of critical infrastructure in central Indiana, specifically related to the drinking water supply and treatment. Bruce is a graduate of Purdue University (BS in Agricultural & Biological Engineering) and University of California, Los Angeles (MSE in Sustainable Water Engineering). Outside of his professional life, Bruce is an avid reader of history/philosophy and enjoys the outdoors with his bride and four vivacious children.

Siavash Isazadeh, PhD, P.E, BCEE
Siavash Isazadeh is a Senior Project Manager at Suez North America and Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University . He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from McGill University. He specializes in biological wastewater treatment, organic resource recovery and water reuse with emphasis on the characterization of microbial communities with metagenomics and mathematical modeling.

Angus McGrath, PhD, BCES
Angus McGrath, PhD, BCES, is a Senior Principal, currently serving as the National Technical Lead for PFAS in Environmental Services for PFAS, and previously served as the National Technical Lead for Remediation at Stantec. Angus’ focus has been in situ remediation of metals, chlorinated solvents, perchlorate and emerging contaminants including PFAS. When he isn’t working, Angus is an avid cyclist and outdoorsmen enjoying the California countryside with his wife and two adult children.

Jeff Sober, P.E., BCEE
Jeff is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Garver’s Water and Wastewater services. Jeff has 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, focusing on large scale facility master planning, wastewater treatment process design, grit removal science, and biosolids.

John Kenny, P.E., BCEE
John Kenny is a water quality and treatment expert with Trussell Technologies, Inc. in California. He is the lead process engineer and regulatory strategist for Pure Water Monterey, a potable reuse project utilizing o zone upstream of membrane treatment. He enjoys blending science and experience to develop elegant, novel solutions to complex engineering and regulatory challenges.

Pusker Regmi, PhD, P.E., BCEE
Pusker Regmi, Senior Process Engineer and nutrient removal innovation leader at Brown and Caldwell in Washington D.C. area. His inventions in biological wastewater treatment are paving the way for a new wave of compact and carbon-efficient technologies. Pusker is the author of over 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences proceedings. He is currently a vice-chair of the WEF research and innovation symposium.

Francis de los Reyes III, PhD, P.E., BCEE
Francis de los Reyes III is a Professor and University Faculty Scholar in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at NC State University. He teaches and conducts research in biological wastewater treatment, conversion of wastes to energy and resources, microbial ecology, and global sanitation. He is a WEF Fellow, TED Fellow, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Science and Technology of the Philippines.

Carl Elder, PhD, BCEE
The primary focus of Dr. Elder’s work is the selection, design and implementation of soil, bedrock and groundwater remediation systems including bioremediation, air sparging, dual-phase extraction, groundwater filtration, pump and treat, oxidation and zero-valent iron reduction. He frequently provides technical review on multi-consultant project teams for complex sites, and he has developed a unique practice area in the implementation of novel technologies such as first-to-field applications of enhanced bioremediation,, nano-scale zero-valent iron, 1,4-dioxane treatment.

Asher Benedict, P.E., BCEE
Asher Benedict is a senior process engineer with Arcadis, who has over ten years of industrial water experience in consulting, engineering, and operation and maintenance (O&M). He is a registered professional engineer and has experience in developing and managing innovative and cutting-edge projects in wastewater treatment for food and beverage, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper, automotive, and landfills. Asher’s technical expertise is in the design and operations of biological treatment processes for industrial wastes, water reuse, pollution prevention, and regulatory compliance.

Devitt Dillon, P.E., BCEE
Dillon is originally from Pierre, SD, has worked in IA, MN, KS, and now NE, and During his career he has worked in the operations, manufacturing, and consulting side of the wastewater industry. Dillon specializes in Wastewater treatment systems design and is currently working with HDR to implement some of the largest Aerobic Granular Sludge Treatment Technology systems in North America.
