Webinar Summary

Occupational Safety and Health (S&H) is identified as the discipline that involves the management of work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as the prevention, protection, and promotion of workers’ health. It focuses on protecting the most valuable resources a company can have- its people. Environmental Management (much like S&H) is a discipline that focuses on conservation of key resources (in its case, the environment), and both are closely intertwined and strive towards building a sustainable society. Professionals in this area frequently have the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) title.

This webinar will start with the fundamentals of Occupational Safety and Health (its culture, OSHA and EPA regulations, H&S tools, incident management, etc.). It will link the Environmental Management component and will explain how together they make up a key area of expertise that is the engine of an institution’s sustainability. The webinar will also discuss important and current and upcoming challenges and opportunities to use modern technologies (like artificial intelligence and robotics).
