Webinar Summary
The global engineering community is facing a new risk that is fundamentally changing design solutions and challenging legal requirements concerning design responsibilities. Climate change is no longer an abstract concept, but rather a concern that is appearing in RFPs, developer discussions and investment decisions.
Despite these concerns, climate change can also be looked at as a new opportunity. Owners of all types must address changing environmental conditions, and the knowledge of the engineering community is needed to assist in this new risk analysis. In this webinar, the speakers will address climate change as an engineering opportunity using recent case studies, new perspectives on climate risk and the challenge of long-term risk without historic probabilities.
Many engineering firms may choose to avoid climate change risks until they become the new standard. However, there is an opportunity to become a trusted partner with owners who understand climate risks and are ready to implement this new risk metric. This webinar explores how to become one of these trusted partners.
